Priority 1: Increase Participation, Achievement and Retention

We want more young people to stay in education or training post-16.

Priority 2: Information, Advice and Guidance

Young people will increasingly access their learning at more than one institution. We want all of our schools, colleges, work-based learning providers and IAG agencies, to respond to this trend and, work even more closely together. This will better support young people's choices, ensure that they receive the best advice and continue to be well-supported, as they move along their learning journey.

Priority 3: Employer Engagement

We want all young people to have high quality, appropriate experiences of the world of work, which will fully prepare them for employment. Whilst we know that there are many examples of excellent practice in the County, we want to ensure that those relationships continue to flourish, and that new ones are established.

Priority 4: Workforce development and sustainability

We want to ensure that our young people are supported by an expert workforce. We are also looking to find ways to maximise the impact of the County's 14-19 Partnership working.
